This 100X objective will fit all full-sized college and high school microscopes. It provides 1000X with a 10X eyepiece, 1500X with a 15X eyepiece, and 2000X with a 20X eyepiece. These powers of eyepieces are available as an option if you do not have one. This power is suitable for viewing the smallest specimens that are viewable using light transmission. This includes bacteria and details of small cells. This highest power objective (100X) is an oil immersion objective. It requires immersion oil to give its best images. This is not included but is widely sold on eBay and elsewhere. Using an oil immersion objective is the only way to get high resolution images at powers of 1000X and greater.

PLEASE NOTE: Please make sure that your microscope takes standard sized eyepieces and objectives before you buy. This has been the standard size for professional microscopes for more than 100 years so there should be no problem with the size.

This 20X eyepiece will fit all full-sized college and high school microscopes. It is the standard 23 mm OD. The eyepiece provides 20 times the value of the objective (200X with a 10X objective, 800X with a 40X objective, and 2000X with a 100X objective). These powers of objective are available as an option if you do not have one. This is a high quality eyepiece with the Wollensak brand name. Wollensak Optical has produced quality optics since 1899. You will require two of these for binocular and stereo microscopes.
